This ceremony is known for its solemnity and tradition, and is truly an experience for those involved.

Membership

La Société Honoraire de Français continues to grow annually as the enrollment in Parkland School District likewise increases. As such, the Parkland chapter boasts over eighty members in the 2009 - 2010 school term. Such a large and diverse group achieves goals that would be logistically impossible without so many ambitious and talented individuals. Parkland's chapter encourages students to participate in Le Grand Concours, a national French competition, and saw two regional and state winners in 2009.  The chapter, in collaboration with the school's Le Cercle Français, is also working towards the creation of a non-profit organization to encourage sustained educational development in the francophone world, specifically in West African nations such as the Republic of Benin.
